Liz Bottrill, David Burrows and Victoria Goodhall were invited to attend the Parliament building at Portcullis House this morning by the Office of Andrew Percy MP for the inaugural meeting of the All Party Parliamentary Group on Surrogacy. It was an informal meeting of interested parties (MPs, the Law Commission, Department of Health, Surrogacy UK, surrogate parents and intended parents) to get together and share initial thoughts regarding a review of the existing law and possible reform.
Essentially, the Law Commission will shortly start to undertake a review of the existing law in relation to surrogacy in consultation with interested parties and the All Party Parliamentary Group will help to inform and partake in that process.
