Joan Yu is an experienced Corporate solicitor specialising in corporate finance, mergers and acquisitions. She is a partner and the Head of the Corporate Team.
Joan’s experience includes company flotations and secondary offerings of shares on both the Official List and AIM market of the London Stock Exchange PLC, as well as the Aquis Growth Market of the Aquis Stock Exchange.
She also advises on the Takeover Code, reverse takeovers, cross-border scheme of arrangements, equity-based fundraisings, corporate reorganisations, strategic investments and joint ventures as well as general advice on regulatory and corporate governance matters.
Joan regularly advises U.K. and international companies, particularly in the Far East, Latin America, Europe and Africa and acts as outside counsel.
Joan is a lay member of the Corporate Governance Committee of the Royal College of Emergency Medicine and is ranked in The Legal 500. She is also fluent in Cantonese and Mandarin Chinese.
