James McConkey is a solicitor in the Employment team of Laytons ETL, who advises employers and employees on various contentious and non-contentious employment matters. James has versatile experience dealing with a variety of employment law matters such as dismissals, redundancies, discrimination, contractual disputes, restrictive covenants and employment litigation.
He acts for both employers and employees across all industries, with a particular focus on Education, Care Homes, and Fostering. James has a sound understanding of Care Quality Commission (CQC) regulations, assisting Care Home clients with compliance and issues arising from CQC inspections. In the Education and Fostering sectors, he handles Tribunal claims arising from safeguarding breaches and regulatory compliance issues.
James was a Solicitor in the Employment team at an American law firm prior to joining Laytons ETL. Before that, he was a civil litigation paralegal at another London firm.
