Bianca has a passion for family law and assisting clients to navigate a complex system during one of the most difficult periods of their lives. Her calm and clear, pragmatic advice assists her clients in focusing on the essential issues, to get the best result. She assists parties to reach agreement at the early stages, often avoiding the need for proceedings to be issued but is realistic about cases that require litigation and will not shy away from confrontation to obtain the required result for her clients.
Bianca’s fertility law experience includes advising modern families on all types of fertility law questions and her surrogacy experience includes contested parental order cases in the High Court.
She joined the family team at Laytons in 2022 and has practised family law in the UK since 2015. Originally qualified in Western Australia, her background in employment law and civil litigation gives a well-rounded understanding of legal issues and the experience of the client.
Bianca completed her LLB at the University of Western Australia, and her practical legal training through the College of Law, Australia. She is admitted to the Supreme Court of Western Australia and has cross qualified as a solicitor of the Senior Courts of England and Wales.
Pre- and Post-Nupital Agreements
Bianca advises clients on pre and post nuptial agreements and registration agreements for civil partnerships. Having many international clients, she understands the importance of advice across jurisdictions to ensure assets are protected for a potential future break up for clients with connections abroad.
Financial Separation
Bianca advises and supports her clients with all legal issues on the breakdown of relationships. She gives straight forward advice on the financial aspects of divorce, having dealt with company structures, partnerships, pensions, investments and property including -those located abroad.

The valuation of several complex companies and analysis of detailed expert reports in preparation for contested financial remedy proceedings.
Children
Disagreements about who children live with and spend their time with need a solicitor who acts quickly, and directs attention to the critical issues. Bianca has successfully helped her clients with the relocation of children, child arrangements, and resolving issues about schooling and handover. Recent cases include advising a client on obtaining an occupation order to remain in the family home with the children.
Cohabiting Couples
Cohabiting couples have a different set of requirements to married couples and Bianca has an excellent understanding of the separation of finances, TOLATA claims, and applications under Schedule 1 of the Children Act. Whether married or not, Bianca has successfully applied for non-molestation and occupation orders for her cohabiting clients who have been subject to domestic violence.
